The best things @thewintershownyc last night, all at Hill-Stone. Chalk drawing by Naldini, 1537. Strauss opera maquette (movable scenery!), a Florentine ink study, and a tiny Tiepolo (GD, not GB). I’m thinking of dressing like the man in #4 for
Somebody on Coronado has good taste in cars... and a fondness for pastel.
Already homesick for the Del. Visited as an infant, as a penniless teen sprinting through the lobby on the way to the beach, and now as a parent. If you look the other way from the new villas (ugh 🤢) it hasn’t changed in decades.

Egon Scheile, Houses & Pines, 1915. At Richard Nagy. Looking quite a lot like a page from Pierro Ventura’s Magic Well. Happily the best thing at @thesalonny

A wet morning spent at Basildon Park. Late 1770s. Carr of York. Interiors spoiled by pestering and intrusive docents. 😤
Good morning England! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿
The Guercino show ... worth it just for this. On blue paper!
