Designing apartments and country houses means listening to each client and finding their own unique narrative.

Nobody asks us to make the same house twice. Our residential practise is devoted to this central premise, which requires us to tailor the very smallest details to the individual. Nothing is assumed, nothing taken for granted, nothing repeated.

Our conversations with clients aim to go beyond function or program and draw out something more precious - a narrative for the house that marks the design with a unique characteristic or atmosphere. The house should be recognisable as our client's and not anybody else's.

The best residential projects must be collaborations. We prefer to work with an interior designer or decorator as early as possible in the design, and to make sure our work compliments and supports their vision as fully as possible.

We believe there's no acceptable reason for a house or apartment project to have uncertain budgets or fraught schedules. Two decades of successfully executed houses and apartments have proven to us that teamwork with good builders allows us to iron out uncertainty before construction begins.
